Mission Statement:

To support dance and theater education programs offered at Robin Welch Dance Arts and Core Training in conjunction with  Heartland Youth Ballet and Theater Company .

Membership:

Membership is open to all families currently enrolled in classes at Robin Welch Dance Arts and Core Training.  More information will become available concerning a membership donation fee. This suggested donation will pay for printing, paper, refreshments, etc needed for PTO meetings and special events.

Meetings:

Meetings will be held on a monthly basis(alternating afternoon & evening times), locations and times will be posted on the website and on the bulletin board in the PARENT STUDENT LOUNGE at the dance school.  If unable to attend meetings, minutes will be posted and available upon request.

FUND RAISING:

The PTO will provide fund raising opportunities for all interested students. Funds can be raised for participation fees at  Regional Dance America, Disney World Dance the World, or class tuition.

Communication:

One of the our most important goals this year is to open up communication between the parents of Robin Welch Dance Arts, creating a positive studio environment for all. Through your involvement, we hope to host many activities that will bring support to both the teachers and students of our school. A very important link in this process will be making sure that all of our email addresses are current. Like many of the local public schools, Robin Welch Dance Arts has gone paperless in the quest to be environmentally friendly. Unfortunately, being green makes it difficult to send out updates and notices if we do not have an email address for you and your family. We understand that junk emails are annoying, but we are not sending junk! We are sending vital information that will keep both you and your family informed of events, classes, news and opportunities.  You can update your email address or join the PTO email list by sending an email to tlodean_dancearts@hotmail.com, Thomas will be sure to have you added to the group emails.

Involvement:

There are lots of activities to join and help with over the course of the year.  Check the main PTO page for current projects or sign up list.  You may also contact any of this years liaisons for further information regarding current projects.

This years Liaison Board helping to govern the PTO consist of Mary Theisen and Meridith Efkin as the Parent Liasons to the PTO.  Thomas Dean will be this years Teacher Liaison, email him at tlodean_dancearts@hotmail.com if you have any questions, concerns or would like to become involved.
