Welcome to Robin Welch Dance Arts’ dynamic summer program for students ages three through adults! For kids, summer is a great time to dance! Our summer classes offer a chance to learn and progress free from school-year pressures…building personal growth, confidence, poise, and creativity. It’s a great opportunity for young students to improve their technique and creative potential while becoming a part of Omaha’s most exciting dance training program!

And don’t forget our great summer classes for adults! Beginning adult ballet and tap are a great way to get in shape and “step” your way into fitness while our intermediate ballet and pointe classes offer more experienced dance enthusiasts the opportunity to gratify their “love of dancing.”

ADVANCED PROGRAM

Advanced Student’s Workshop

For advanced students (Ballet IV/V Dancers)

DAB516 – 4-wk – June 4th through June 28th – Monday thru Thursday from 1pm until 5pm

Tuition: $700

Jump right into this exciting, skill-based workshop for students ready to attain that “special edge” in technique. Ballet technique, pointe, and even entire classes focussed on the specialized mechanics of “turns” and “jumps” are bound to inspire and motivate each and every participant. Students will also hone their artistic side through rehearsals and coaching of a dance piece that will be performed in our special Workshop Studio Performance! This exciting and inspiring mix of technique and artistry will create powerful learning experiences for dancers who are ready for further advancement. INTERMEDIATE PROGRAM

Intermediate Student’s Workshop

For intermediate students (Ballet III)

DABT215 – 4-wk – June 5 through June 29 – Tuesday 5:15-7:45pm, Wednesday 5:15-7:45pm, Thursday 5:15-8:30pm, and Friday 5:45-7:45pm

Tuition: $500

This engaging workshop will spark students’ creative side through a workshop studio performance while also building the strong fundamentals needed to develop movement skills in ballet, pointe or pre-pointe, and tap classes. Students will have a special dance created for them to be performed at our Workshop Studio Performance. Workshop Studio Performance – June 28th @ 7:30pm.

ELEMENTARY PROGRAM

Beginning Student’s Workshop

For beginning students (Ballet I)

DABT115 – 4 wk – June 4 through 29 – Monday and Wednesday 5:30-6:45pm, and Friday 5:45-6:30pm

Tuition: $275

This fun 4-week workshop is for beginning ballet students ages 7-11.  Ballet classes will focus on barre and center work, simple classical combinations, and proper French vocabulary names. Tap class adds a whole new and energetic dimension to the workshop and introduces young students to another style of dance and self-expression. Students will also have the opportunity to explore their own creativity as they learn and rehearse a special dance created for them to be performed in the Workshop Studio Performance.  Workshop Studio Performance – June 28th @ 7:30 pm.

Advanced/Beginners Student’s Workshop

For advanced/beginner students (Ballet II)

DAB215 – 4-wk -  June 5 through June 29 – Tuesday 5:15-7:45pm, Wednesday 5:15-7:45pm, Thursday 5:15-7:45pm & Friday 5:45-6:30pm

Tuition: $450

This fun workshop includes ballet and tap classes plus rehearsals of a class demonstration that will be performed in our Workshop Studio Performance.

CHILDREN’S PROGRAM

Children’s Workshop

For students ages 3 and 4 (Creative Movement)

DACT015 – 4 wk – June 5 through 29 – Tuesday 5:30-6:15pm & Friday 4:15-5:00pm

Tuition: $150

This wonderful workshop blends creative movement, tap, jazz and song.  Young children will receive a great introduction to the dance arts while developing listening and motor skills and coordination through music, rhythm, improvisation and group interaction.

Childrens Workshop

For students ages 5 and 6 (Pre-Dance)

DAPT015 - 4 wk – June 5 through 29 – Tuesday 6:15-7:00pm and Friday 5:00-5:45pm

Tuition: $150

This terrific Children’s Workshop for young students is a great introduction to the dance arts. Children will explore ballet, tap, jazz and singing! The workshop is designed to develop imagination, coordination and musicality in children too young to begin formal ballet training.

Beginning Adult/Teen Ballet

DAB615 – Monday Ballet from 7:00-8:30 and Friday Tap from 6:45-7:30

Tuition: $185 for one ballet class p/wk – Tuition: $270 for one ballet and one tap class p/wk

This class is geared for a quick mind that loves to move to classical music and stretch and strengthen muscles. It’s a great way to release those daily tensions. Add the adult/teen tap class and receive a discount!

Intermediate Adult/Teen Ballet with option for Pointe

DAB715 - Thursday Ballet from 6:00-7:30 and Friday Tap from 7:30-9:00

Tuition: $185 for one ballet class p/wk – Tuition: $270 for one ballet and one tap class p/wk

This class is a great way to release those daily tensions, tone your muscles and get a great workout! If you’ve danced on pointe in the past – go ahead and put your pointe shoes on! If you love ballet and classical music, this class is for you. Add the adult/teen tap class and receive a discount!

Tuition: $100

Just kick up your heels and dance in this fun, energetic tap class! Add the adult/teen ballet class and receive a discount!

ACTING AND MUSICAL THEATER

Week-End Workshops – JUNE 9 – JUNE 10

Students will have an exciting week-end with our Acting and/or Musical Theater Workshops. These fun and inventive 2-day workshops will expand student’s imagination and ability to think creatively.

If you would like to participate in our exciting musical theater workshop that directly follows the acting workshop, just bring lunch or a snack, eat at the studio, and receive a discounted price for both workshops of only $150!
