Dress Codes

At Robin Welch Dance Arts, and in professional ballet schools around the world, each class level of students wear the same leotard color to eliminate visual clutter so teachers can more easily see, define, and correct dance technique.

GIRLS BALLET IMPORTANT NOTE: Hair must be tightly secured. Girls must wear pink ballet shoes with elastic sewn across instep. No underwear is necessary under tights and leotard. No gum.

Girls Ballet Clothing

Creative Movement and Pre-Dance: Should wear solid colored light pink (often called ballet pink) leotard, ballet pink tights and shoes

Ballet I: Should wear a Bloch (style # 201C) Buttercup colored leotard and skirt (MS12CH) with pink tights and shoes.

Ballet II: Should wear a Bloch (style # 201C ) Seafoam colored leotard and skirt (MS12CH) with pink tights and shoes.

Ballet III: Should wear a Bloch (style # 201C) Lavender colored leotard and skirt (MS12CH) with pink tights and shoes.

Ballet IV: Should wear a MotionWear (style # 2521,2614 0r 2515) Candy Pink leotard and skirt (1021) with pink tights and shoes. There will be 3 styles from which to pick.

Ballet V: Should wear a MotionWear (style # 2521, 2614 or 2515) Black Cherry leotard and skirt (1021) with pink tights and shoes.

Pre-Professional: Any solid color leotard with pink tights and shoes.

All Girls Ballet Shoes: Pink  ballet shoes with elastic sewn across the instep.

Boys Ballet Clothing

Beginning Boys Ballet: Black tights, bike pants,shorts or sweat pants, solid colored T shirt. Black ballet shoes with elastic sewn across the instep should be worn.

Intermediate or Advanced Boys Ballet: Black tights, solid colored T shirt. Black ballet shoes with elastic sewn across the instep should be worn.

All Boys Ballet Shoes: Black ballet shoes with elastic sewn across the instep.

Adult/Teen Ballet

Girls and Women: Any solid colored leotard with pink or black tights or work-out pants and solid colored shirts. Shoes: Pink or black ballet shoes with elastic sewn across the instep.

Boys and Men: Black tights, bike pants, shorts or sweat pants with a solid colored T-shirt. Shoes: Black ballet shoes with elastic sewn across the instep.

Jazz

Any solid color leotard with jazz pants. Shoes: Black split sole by Bloch – #ESo495 Neo-Flex.

Tap

Any solid color leotard with tights or jazz pants. Shoes: Black tap shoes by Bloch – #SO301 Jazz Tap.

Musical Theater

Any solid colored leotard and tights or black jazz pants.

Girls and Boys Shoes: We will order shoes the first week of classes with instructor.

Acting

Work out style clothing.

Girls and Boys Shoes: We will order shoes the first week of classes with instructor.

Pilates

Appropriate work-out clothing and shoes.

Leotard and shoe styles and colors available at the Dance Shoppe at 8712 Countryside Plaza.

School Policies

Inclement Weather

Robin Welch Dance Arts and Core Training will follow OPS cancellations during times of inclement weather. If bad weather hits AFTER classes have begun at 4:00 pm, please check “News and Notes” on this website or call the studio to check the answering machine message.

Showcase Tuition

Showcase tuition will be paid in equal parts over the entire 9 month academic year. If a Showcase is added after the initial registration, you must pay Showcase in full. Showcase registration is not refundable or transferable. If you choose drop the Showcase or decide to leave the School, you will immediately be charged the remainder of the Showcase Fee.

Registration Directions

Registration and Class Tuition

We suggest you go to our store – shop.robinwelchdance.info to set up an account so you can always view present and past orders. Also, your contact information will be saved for future shopping convenience.

A Family Registration Fee of $50 will be charged to all student families. Those who begin classes after January will be charged a Family Registration Fee of $25. You must pay the Register Fee to hold a place in classes.

There is no Registration Fee for summer classes however full tuition payment is due at time of registration.

Robin Welch Dance Arts provides two ways to pay for classes. One is through PayPal and the other is through your credit or debit card. We also provide two payment options: set up a monthly payment plan or pay in full.

TO REGISTER FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR

Go to our store – shop.robinwelchdance.info – you will need to perform the below actions for every registered class.

  1. You must choose each class to put in your cart.
  2. Choose one of two Family Registration Fee options per each class.
  3. Choose your Showcases

After you have completed the above for all classes and all students, simply check-out!

TO REGISTER FOR THE SUMMER

Choose Camp, Workshop or Classes, place in cart and simply check-out!

Private Classes and Coaching

Private and semi-private classes are available upon request. For more information, please call the studio at 237-8801.

Disclaimer

By registering with Robin Welch Dance Arts and Core Training LLC, all parents, guardians, and students understand and assume all risks involved in connection with dance instruction, rehearsals, and core training including but not limited to risk of bodily injury occurring as a result of contact with other students, instructors, walls, equipment, floors, and other objects located in our building. Through registration, students declare that they are physically fit and able to participate in all activities involved in dance instruction, core training classes, rehearsals, and performances and assume the risk of such.

Miscellaneous Policies

Class space is limited and registration is on a first-come basis. Students enrolling in a new term must be paid in full from previous classes. We reserve the right to cancel classes not meeting minimum enrollment requirements. Class schedules are subject to change. Refunds are ONLY available because of prolonged illness or injury verified by a doctor’s certificate. Class placement is at the discretion of the director. Class registration and 1st month’s payment must be completed before the student may attend class.
